EARTHSCOPE:The Biggest experiment 'Till date'

The earth scope experiment in North America is done with geophysical instruments installed across the country. these instruments will provide high precision data  to describe how geological forces shaped North America's landscape and contribute to the public's understanding of our dynamic Earth.Across the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico, 1,100 permanent GPS units track deformations in the land's surface caused by tectonic shifts below. Seismic sensors next to the active San Andreas Fault in California record its tiniest slips, while rock samples pulled from a drill site that extends two miles into the fault reveal the grinding and strain on the rocks that occur when the two sides of the fault slide past each other during an earthquake. And over the course of 10 years, small crews have hauled a movable array of 400 seismographs across the country using backhoes and sweat. By the time the stations reach the East Coast next year, they will have collected data from almost 2,000 locations.

न मैं चुप हूँ न गाता हूँ सवेरा है मगर पूरब दिशा में घिर रहे बादल रूई से धुंधलके में मील के पत्थर पड़े घायल ठिठके पाँव ओझल गाँव जड़ता है न गतिमयता स्वयं को दूसरों की दृष्टि से मैं देख पाता हूं न मैं चुप हूँ न गाता हूँ समय की सदर साँसों ने चिनारों को झुलस डाला, मगर हिमपात को देती चुनौती एक दुर्ममाला, बिखरे नीड़, विहँसे चीड़, आँसू हैं न मुस्कानें, हिमानी झील के तट पर अकेला गुनगुनाता हूँ। न मैं चुप हूँ न गाता हूँ अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी
